Woodfield Forest Church: the pilot outing

Woodfield Forest Church: the Pilot Outing

The Sun was shining, and by 4pm on the afternoon of the 24th June nature gave us the choice of sun or shade, as individuals and families gathered for our first Forest Church. Just like our ancestors who worshipped wherever they found themselves, we created a focal point for our worship that took us through the complete cycle of nature. We used magnifying glasses to look at the intricate detail of a blade of grass, amazed that the same creator God created everything from the simple blade of grass to each one of us. Finishing with a taste of summer we shared elderflower cordial and went on our way knowing that we had explored and rested in God’s presence.

This was very much a pilot to see how Forest Church might work so watch out for future dates and join in! It won't clash with an England World Cup game next time.
