Harvest at Packington: October 2nd. How it went

October 2nd was a busy day as we celebrated God's goodness to us in the harvest festival services. In the morning it was great to welcome Florence and her family as Florence was christened and welcomed in to the family of God.

The afternoon saw tables laden with sandwiches and cakes for harvest tea, which we just had to eat

We also made a presentation to Lesley Birtwistle who has worked hard for Packington Church for some 45 years and that had to be noted and appreciated - so she now has a garden bench to relax on and a cheque. Hopefully this isn't a final retirement though but more a change of pace!

And all that was followed by Harvest Songs of Praise.
