Packington Open Gardens: The Result

 Packington Open Gardens: The result

Early on the Bank Holiday morning, it rained. It wasn’t supposed to rain but it did. Oh no! But all was well. The weather turned out to be perfect for the 27th Open Gardens Day in the village. One of those beautiful English summer afternoons.

About 700 people visited the 12 gardens which ranged from farms to quite small plots plus a former water mill. A number of stalls added interest and refreshments were in great demand including delicious cream teas.

Go on to the 'photos' tab to see more of the day's events.

In all, the event raised an amazing record breaking £4,070 for the church building repair fund.

Thanks go to all who contributed to an enjoyable and successful day.
