Community poppies now on display at Normanton


November 11th 2018 is the 100th anniversary of the end of the First World War, and we are marking it in a special way at Normanton.

As well as the service of Remembrance at 9.30 a.m. in church, we invited every household in the village to come and paint a poppy. Here is the porduction line:




And here is the result. A wonderful display outside church,  the Normanton version of the poppies at the Tower of London!!





It looks really good so a big thank you to all who contributed and worked hard.
