Packington Open Gardens: August 28th. How the day went

PACKINGTON OPEN GARDENS DAY:

MONDAY 28TH AUGUST

The weather was amazing for a Bank Holiday - hot and sunny all day. And garden enthusiasts poured into the village to admire the hard work of Packington's gardeners.

A big thank you to all who worked so hard for the day: Geoff Gasson as organiser in chief, all the helpers in car park and in the memorial hall, to the cooks and servers of refreshments, those on stalls, David Grainger as sponsors of the event but of course, supremely the gardeners and all willing to open their gardens.

The grand sum of £4182 was raised for the Holy Rood Fabric Fund - the highest ever total from this event.
