Welcome to Ceriann Kelly

Welcome to Ceriann Kelly, Children’s worker

who starts work with us on 3rd September.

To start with, Ceriann will be familiarising herself with the Woodfield team and what goes on here. We’ll be introducing her to as many people as we can; she’ll be part of Ready Steady Stick which is our biggest  children’s enterprise and we’ve asked her to help us become visible in the social media world beyond our church websites.

It will take a while for her to settle in – so let’s give her a good welcome, and do get to know her. Ceriann writes:

“As the newly appointed Children’s worker for the Woodfield team of churches I would like to take the opportunity to introduce myself.

Well what can I tell you? My name is Ceriann (an unusual spelling of Kerry-Anne) and I have been married to Mike for 8 years, we have a gorgeous little boy whom we adopted 4 years ago.

I grew up in a Christian family in Yorkshire and developed my own faith as a teenager.  I have attended a few different denominations throughout my life, but have been part of the Church of England for 10 years now. I first started helping run Sunday school when I was 16 years old and have been involved in children’s and youth work in churches pretty much ever since and have loved it! From running singing and dancing groups, prayer groups or weekly kids groups to being gunged at holiday clubs, working with children has provided some of my fondest memories and its true what they say kids really do say the funniest things.

I am really looking forward to getting to know you all a little a better over the coming weeks and months and getting stuck in with the fantastic work you already have got going on with children across the team, as well as bringing the skills and gifts I have. I think this really is a fantastic opportunity not just for me but all of us; we can grow in Christ together and work to build up the faith of the children and their families.”
