A brilliant Open Gardens on Bank Holiday Monday

Despite the coldest winter for years, the wettest autumn and the hottest and driest summer, the gardeners of Packington came up trumps for the annual Open Gardens on Bank Holiday Monday. Over 400 people came to enjoy their handiwork

The flowers looked wonderful and the grass had more or less green-ed up again.

Thank you to all who opeded their gardens, to the cake makers and tea servers and everyone who took part to make this another great success. £2884 was raised for Holy Rood Church towards installing a disabled toilet in church, and imporving our servery facilities. A particular thank you to Geoff Gasson who organised it all.
