Easter Ready Steady Stick: April 13th - how it went

Easter Ready Steady Stick: April 13th

Our Woodfield Team Easter Ready Steady Stick was well attended by children and their families in Measham church hall. We started the afternoon by making mini Easter gardens to take away, as well as one big one which was moved into church for all to enjoy;  we spent time praising God and singing about how big he is and how much he loves us.

Our story was a retelling of the Easter Story acted out by our grown-up volunteers. As always, our crafts went down well with lots of messy glitter glue being used in decorating prayer boxes. Lots of concentration was used colouring the Easter Story wheels and the Bunny Buns celebrating new life barely made out of the door, they just looked too tasty! Junk modelling made its return to craft time, much to the joy of the children.

After refreshing ourselves with a drink there were lots of giggles as the children played musical statues and other games.

There was an air of excitement throughout the afternoon and many good conversations were had with children and adults alike, with a couple of adults saying what a good afternoon it had been.

We are looking forward to being able to be back in Measham church at our next event, in May half term.

Here are some pictures to give you a flavour of a good afternoon:
