26th August 2.00pm – 7.00pm

Our traditional and very popular Open Gardens’ Day is being held again this year on Bank Holiday Monday, 26th August 2024, from 2.00pm to 7.00pm.

Nine gardens will be open in addition to the Church and Memorial Hall on High Street, Packington, where delicious cream teas and cakes will be served. There will be stalls selling garden equipment, books, eco-friendly products and cards, and honey respectively, a golden pebble hunt for children,  ice-cream for sale, flower displays in church and a  History Group display in the Village Hall  showing the progress already made  on their current project to date the year of
construction of all the individual residential buildings in Packington.
There will also be a quarter peal of bells at 2.30pm and a little later, live musical entertainment in the form of two choirs.

Parking is available in the Village Recreation Ground Car Park (LE65 1WP) on Measham Road, where you can also purchase a Passport to the gardens ( £5 for adults, children free). Passports can also be obtained at the Church, the Hall and participating gardens.

The event will be followed by the famed village duck race which takes place on Mill Street from 5.30pm.

We are very grateful to David Granger Architectural Design Ltd of Ashby-de-la Zouch who are sponsoring our Open Gardens’ Day
